The New Politico iPad App Is A Must Have

The company that brings you breaking political stories, Politico, has just launched a new iPad application that is getting great reviews from its users.

Politico seems to be taking a different avenue with this new application, while most companies are trying to make their apps more complex with the integration of photos and video features, Politico is focusing more on the actual articles.

The Politico application is very user friendly and the front page is presented in a neat manner, with the featured story being the main attraction. The other stories surround the main article, similar to what you would see in a paper newspaper. While each of Politico’s articles contains at least one photograph, the front page does not display any them.

Politico is one of the major new sources for many breaking stories in the political world and is frequently referenced from large news companies. Each article within their iPad app reads much similar to a newspaper. There are two columns per page and users can easily swipe front left to right to navigate through them. The app also has fully functional social networking plugins that allow you to share the Politico app’s articles on facebook, twitter and even email.

This application is a good source for political news, however, it is far from perfect. While testing out the Politico app it crashed on me several times, this hopefully will be fixed soon with the next update. On the contrary, the app is beautiful in design and offers users a wonderful reading experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading about politics.
